WINNER Sports Team of the Year 2023

Camden Cats AFL Club, Senior Women’s Team

The Camden Cats senior women’s team had an outstanding 2023 season losing only one game on their way to the 2023 AFL Sydney division 3 premiership. The team’s percentage for the season was 694.78%, a clear indication of the domination they had over the entire competition.

A terrific story of persistence having finished 3rd last year and dropping out of the finals early on.

With new coach and club life member Adam Hunt at the helm this year, the side was able to improve their football skills and game pressure to enable them to take the next step.

Individually, player Gemma Bartolillo won the AFL Sydney League Best & Fairest Award and was best on ground in the grand final held back in September.

The premiership win for this women’s side is the first in the women’s program in the history of the Camden Cats Senior AFL Club.
